about me
I grew up mostly in Denver, did some time in Cambridge, and am now headquartered in Chicago. Specifically, I'm squatting in Henry Hinds Laboratory for the Geophysical Sciences, though I also spend a lot of time at the Field Museum of Natural History.
I'm currently integrating developmental biology approaches with morphology-based studies of macroevolutionary patterns in various clades of mammals and snakes. I'm especially excited about vertebrae, though a big fan of serial homologies in general.
I'm also the captain of an exceptional softball team.
I'm using the vertebral columns of diverse clades of mammals and squamates to think about how developmental mechanisms evolve on macroevolutionary scales.
